E31 Consulting engineers are certified by Element 31 on Czar, Substrate, and Agency. The certification is that qualification: they arrive able to build a use case on those products, in the deployment you already run.
The appliance, in the posture the site uses. Fully sovereign and air-gapped. Connected only to systems the customer already secures. Or a mix, site by site. The engineers are trained to build inside that choice, and to treat a new path as a decision you make, then a named call on the agent.
Grounded answers against a corpus that stays on the appliance. Memory of what was already decided. Open-weight models you host, including ones adapted to the work. A record of what was asked. Consulting uses that platform as the base the use case stands on.
Composing the steps, publishing a version, putting a person on the step that sends or changes a record, and leaving a run that can be opened later. The handoff is an Agency agent your operators can revise, or an application that calls one.
When the people who run it should see your name, the engagement is built as Czar Chassis: your product, on Czar, in the posture you chose. The manufacturing and the platform stay underneath. The outside is yours.

The engagement starts from what should be true at the end, said in the language of the desk. A reviewer gets a draft with the passages attached and approves before anything is filed. A team can question its own procedures and check the source. A customer runs your application under your name. That sentence is what the engineers are held to.

They build for the deployment you have. A sealed site gets a use case that runs on what is already on the appliance, with updates as something you carry in. A connected site gets named calls to the systems you already trust. The network in the design is the one you already operate.

Whether they are in the room or working the project in-house, the result is a version on the appliance, not a design for one. Your operators see it run on real packets from the scope. The approvals, the model, and the tools are the ones that version will keep using.

Forward-deployed, your people publish alongside the engineers until they can publish alone. In-house, they receive the version and the operating notes. The engagement ends when the next change is yours to make — a new step, a new tool, a rollback — on Agency, without the engineers present.
